RABID DREAMS OF THE MASTER RACE
a new play from Mark Redfield
This new black comedy from Mark Redfield is the tale of a little publisher, Otto Vinkle, and his wife, Maria, and how they navigate the survival of their little publishing company during the rise of the Nazis in Germany in the 1930s. It's about how some embrace tyranny, and some resist.
Theatre Project presents the first public reading of this new play, with a talk-back with the audience right after the reading. The actors appearing in this reading are Chris Pfingsten, Mackenzie Menter, J. R. Lyston, Mary Anne Perry, Jennifer Rouse, Lois Bailey DeVeas, Eric Supensky, Mike Moran and Johnny Weissgerber. Mark Redfield will narrate stage directions. The reading will include samples of work-in-progress music composed by Jennifer Rouse, and projections of preliminary concept renderings of costumes and sets by Redfield.
